The following policy outlines the principles, procedures, and safety protocols governing the use of the psilocybin mushroom sacrament within the The Living Sacrament Church. This policy ensures that all sacramental practices are conducted in alignment with our spiritual doctrine, ethical values, and the protection of our members.
– Only active members who have completed the Membership Application & Waiver may receive or participate in sacramental use.
– Members must complete a spiritual orientation session before engaging with the sacrament.
– Participation is voluntary, and all members must be 21 years of age or older.
– The sacrament may be used in both communal and individual spiritual settings.
– Members must ensure that their chosen environment is:
• Safe, secure, and private
• Spiritually intentional (e.g., prayer, meditation, altar setup)
• Free from distractions, violence, or exploitation
– Group ceremonies must be led by trained clergy or designated facilitators.
– Dosage must be determined based on individual experience, health disclosures, and spiritual intent.
– Microdosing, moderate, and ceremonial dosages are all permitted if approached with reverence.
– Members must not administer the sacrament to non-members under any circumstance.
– Sacrament must not be sold or exchanged for profit.
– Members are encouraged to have a trusted support person present, especially during moderate to high doses.
– Members must refrain from operating vehicles or machinery for 12 hours post-ingestion.
– Medical emergencies must be handled with priority; call 911 if needed.
– Emotional distress must be reported to clergy for pastoral support and integration follow-up.
– Integration is a required part of sacramental practice.
– Members must attend at least one integration circle or clergy-led follow-up session per use.
– Journaling, art, meditation, and community sharing are encouraged as methods of integration.
– Members who violate this policy may be temporarily or permanently restricted from receiving the sacrament.
– Violations include:
• Sharing sacrament with non-members
• Using sacrament in unsafe or exploitative settings
• Engaging in commercial activity with sacrament
• Failing to comply with safety or integration requirements
